Villa Alba was constructed in 1967 by the Italian/Danish couple Alba and Egon Drostby. Egon Drostby, head of unit in the Ministry of Education, was the founder of the Danish Institute of Science and Art in Rome as well responsible for this in the first management period. In addition to all of this Mr. Drostby was also a member in many Danish-Italian institutions leadership. He had all his life the strengthening of the Danish-Italian relations as his heart.
Today Villa Alba is administered by Egon and Alba Drostby’s daughter, Antonella Drostby Lauritzen and her husband Bjarne Lauritzen. Villalba has been completely renovated in 2006/2007 and is now more beautiful and more inviting than ever.
